What type of e-signature does YouKont use?

YouKont uses Simple Electronic Signature (SES) compliant with EU eIDAS Regulation 910/2014. It does not replace Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) required for notarial acts or acts toward Public Administration.

What's the difference between SES, AES and QES?

SES (Simple): authenticity based on collected metadata (audit trail, IP, timestamp). AES (Advanced): uniquely identifies the signer, uniquely linked to the document. QES (Qualified): equivalent to handwritten signature, requires qualified certificate and secure device. YouKont implements SES, sufficient for most B2B/B2C commercial contracts.

Do contracts signed with YouKont have legal value?

Yes. Simple electronic signature has probative value under art. 25 eIDAS. Probative weight depends on context and collected evidence (full audit trail, signer identification). For notarial acts and acts toward PA, QES is required.

What does the audit trail contain?

Send/open/sign timestamps; signer IP; events (read, scroll, sign); document hash for integrity; signer identifier (email, verified phone).

No. Uploaded documents and customer data are never used to train AI models.

Can I sign offline?

Link sending and archiving need connectivity. In-person signing needs the tablet to be online. We are evaluating an offline mode for field scenarios.

What happens to my contracts if I don't renew?

They remain read-only accessible on the free plan. You can always export them to PDF with attached audit trail.

Is YouKont in Italian and English?
